EXCURSIONS- Melissani Cave

About 2 miles north of Sami and very near to Agia Efimia
lies the subterranean cave-lake of Melissani. A tunnel walkway runs down to the intense blue water, lit from
above by a large hole in the roof. This place used to be
a place of worship - these days however the cave can be explored by a guided boat trip, which is paddled over the waters to strange rock formations.
A "must see" visit!
